The Adare Bypass objectives are driven by the need to improve the urban environment of the heritage town of Adare and will increase road capacity, reducing journey times and improving safety for road users.

The bypass spans approximately 7 km, extending from Croagh to Adare. It includes:

• Two grade-separated junctions at Adare and Croagh.
• A three-span bridge over the River Maigue, with a central clear span of about 95 meters.
• Four additional river bridges, three signage gantries, and seven overbridges/underbridges.
• The Adare Bypass also includes two new railway bridges, over the Foynes to Limerick railway line currently being recommissioned. Iarnród Éireann is delivering these bridge works in conjunction with John Cradock Ltd on behalf of Limerick City and County Council.
